Richard Lamm and his staffers, 40 years later

Richard Lamm was elected governor of Colorado in 1974 after walking the entire state as part of his unorthodox campaign. The young Democratic state representative spurred an avid (and fairly young) campaign staff, many who would follow him as he took office in 1975. Lamm was elected governor three times and still has a loyal group of devotees. Many of them gathered not too long ago for a 40th reunion. The story, and lots of photos, in the Oct. 25 issue.
