Enough from the business lobby — saving schools should be first priority

Dear Editor,

Finally, somebody said it: cutting and cutting won’t create new jobs and save our economy. I am tired of the argument that all our public decisions have to pass a test administered by the business lobby. The last few years have seen more tax breaks for businesses and a tumbling economy; record profits and soaring unemployment.

The experts say we can’t grow our way out of this mess. Let’s listen to them and do something now to save our schools.

Sincerely,

Jen Caltrider
